According to Bloomberg Businessweek the Japanese camera maker will start DSLR production in Thailand at the end of November.
Nikon camera production at the Rojana Industrial Park in Ayutthaya, north of Bangkok was interrupted by severe monsoon rains and the resulting floods last summer. Earlier this month Nikon published information that camera production in Thailand will begin in January but now is ready to get going again several weeks ahead of schedule.
As a result of the report in the Nikkei newspaper, Nikon shares rose 2.7 percent.
Camera production in Thailand will be back to its normal level in March.
